Langley is the lovely little village that I call home. It overlooks the Saratoga Passage and Cascade Mountains. It's quiet streets are lined with historic buildings, flower boxes charming alleys and pocket parks dot the town. Guest accommodations are available at B&B's, Inns, and the Langley motel.
There are art galleries, antique stores, restaurants, and coffee houses as well as the South Ends movie theater "The Clyde" and Whidbey Island Center for the Arts is just outside of downtown. The Star Store supplies groceries but also has a wonderful wine selection and trendy fashion section. Don't forget to visit Good Cheer, our local thrift store that supports our community's food bank, for interesting decorator and vintage items, as well the occasional antique and many reasonably priced household items and gently used clothing.
Two long running events hosted by Langley are Mystery Weekend in February and Choochokum Festival of the Arts Street Fair in July.
Double Bluff Park has a Langley address but is just south of Freeland. It's an amazing place with miles of broad sandy beach, tidal pools, and off leash park for dogs, sweeping views of ships, Mt. Rainier, as well as unusual bluff erosions.
Saratoga Woods Trail System consists of acres of major forest reserve. Some of these trails are just outside of downtown Langley off Second St.
