Freeland has beautiful views of Holmes Harbor. It has a number of medical offices and it's Main Street is fast becoming the South Island's business center with a number of restaurants, stores, and services.
It has a wonderful beach park where the July Fireworks display is usually held. Freeland Hall, just next to the park is the site of many community gatherings, wedding receptions, dances and such.
Freeland is home to the Holmes Harbor Golf Course on Harbor Hills Rd open to the public with a wonderful restaurant.
